Step into the world of hat-making with a fully immersive two-day experience in downtown Galt located in Cambridge, ON. In this hands-on class, you’ll design and craft your very own custom hat from scratch. Choosing your felt colour and shaping every detail to your personal style, you will determine what your masterpiece will look like! Learn how to block your hat, torch it and add unique embellishments all while enjoying a fun, creative, and welcoming atmosphere! Learn about the artistry of hat making and walk away with your own custom creation.

On Day 1, we’ll start the day learning about the foundational processes and materials included. You will then learn how to block your hat and the tooling needed for this step. Once hats are blocked we will have a short break. After lunch we will start the design process. This is where you will plan your shape and design of the hat. We'll look at different trim options that you'd like to incorporate into your hat.
On Day 2, we'll start the day by trimming the brim and pouncing the hat. We will sew in our own sweat bands and begin shaping the hat. Once these steps are complete, we'll start to put the vision together. You are also more than welcome to bring your own pieces to add to your hat to make it extra special.
